The Diversity Office, together with the HR department, is developing an action plan and toolkit to incorporate more ethnic diversity among the staff, as part of the strategic ambitions related to the priority area Diverse. Students and staff with a non-Western background enrich VU Amsterdam. Their more diverse perspectives result in higher-quality education, research and services. There is good reason, therefore, to preserve and promote cultural diversity within VU. We asked a student, an academic and a director of colour about their experiences.
