"For many innovations, transferring inspiration and enthusiasm is very important."
Bart van Leijen
Programme Director Strategy
The publication of already the third edition of the VU Strategy Times marks a look back at a year in which the campus reopened fully after two years of COVID. It is such a relief to be able to meet and work together as before, without restrictions! This also had a positive effect on the implementation of the VU strategy: for many innovations, transferring inspiration and enthusiasm is very important and that is easier on campus than online.
Together with colleagues from faculties and departments and with students we managed to achieve great results again last year. In this online magazine, various people concerned will tell you more about these results and you can read how they have committed themselves to all our strategic priority areas and aspirations over the past year.
The VU strategic plan has a duration of six years and we are exactly halfway through its implementation. That concludes the work of the strategy team; the continuation of the implementation will be taken up by the faculties and services from 2023 onwards. The strategy team will cease to exist, and the team members will continue their work elsewhere in the organisation.
It was a joy to work on innovative projects with so many colleagues. Thank you very much to all colleagues involved. Of course, we will continue to keep you informed of new progress and results in the coming period. If you wish to know what we have done for the strategy over the past three years, take a look at the strategy website (header implementation> results).
Enjoy the read!
